Most homeowners aren't experts in lawn care, so achieving a lush and healthy covering of grass using conventional methods such as planting grass directly from seeds is very difficult. For those who want their lawn to have that "golf course" look quickly, the option may be sod. Here are some sod lawn care tips that will help you get that perfect lawn.
1. Once the sod is place down, wait at least 2 weeks before you begin to fertilize. You have to let the sod settle on the lawn.
2. Use a natural solution of water and vinegar to kill weeds naturally.
3. If you are planting Bermuda sod, make sure you do it during the months when there is full sun because Bermuda sod needs a lot of sun to grow.
4. Give your sod seven days to settle before you mow it. This will stimulate growth and you will get a healthy looking lawn.
5. Fertilize your sod once in the springtime, once in the summer and then a final time right before winter. Click links below to READ MORE |
